The cover is removable... So you can still pop it out and use the stock battery.
And, it will hold up to being taken on and off over and over again.
The included 3D printed plug connector that will work with any 7.4 volt battery, with a banana style connector, you chose.
Very simple plug and play system.

Yes, the controller shows the battery level. It also warns you when low and if necessary, it will make a forced landing before the battery runs out.

You can now use any size 7.4 volt LiPo battery, with banana style plug, you chose considering its size and weight.
Besides being cheaper these "other" batteries are much lighter than the OEM expensive batteries. Since the OEM batteries have the battery charger attached and that extra weight flies around with the drone. While these converted batteries leave the charger on the ground along with their unneeded weight.
Buy this Kit and go to the eBay link below and buy the 2 Batteries with the dual charger for 23.99.
After that you will have 2 batteries and the setup to make them work. Plus, from now on you will be able to purchase and use batteries.
Though I would suggest that you buy pairs of batteries with the dual chargers for them. (.00 per battery including chargers)
Hey I have a question.. will the battery level still work with this mod? On the controller and the lights on the drone when the battery is low?
Yes, display on remote "your phone" will show battery level. Also warning lights on drone will flash when battery is low just like with stock battery. Only difference is the battery itself does not display its charge level.

It will automatically combine shipping cost, only if you add the items you want (items from the same seller "me") to your shopping cart all at the same time. Now when you view your shopping cart, it will show the combined shipping cost prior to checking out. This will save you allot of money on shipping. Only works for sellers (like me)  who give the combined shipping cost option.
